A little clarity.
A lot of respect.
Second Moon is a social space for divorced and single adults. These are the rules, controls and limits of the current beta—not a promise that every interaction will be safe or a match guaranteed.
How we treat each other
- Adults only. You must be 18 or older. Relationship status and age are self-declared, not independently verified.
- Be honest about who you are and what you are looking for. Use a real photo of yourself, never an AI-generated face or someone else’s picture. Do not impersonate anyone.
- Respect consent and boundaries. No harassment, explicit content, threats, unsolicited sexual messages or pressure to move off-platform.
- No financial requests, scams, commercial solicitation or sharing another person’s private information.
- Never post children’s photographs or identifying details. Phone-number sharing is locked in this beta; do not place numbers in profiles, chat or shared answers.
- Meet in a public place when you feel ready. Tell someone you trust about your plans.
- You can leave a conversation, unmatch, block, report or pause discovery at any time. Basic automated rules screen new messages and shared answers and can miss abuse or flag innocent text. Reports require human review; this is not a monitored emergency service.
Invitation-only membership
Policy version: 2026-10-24-together-v2. The welcome page, matching explanation and fictional demo are public. To enter the member world, sign in with ChatGPT, submit a short application, agree to this policy and wait for administrator approval. Approval is tied to your account; sharing a link does not grant membership. Existing non-administrator accounts also need approval.
Your application includes your chosen name, age, account email, country, city, relationship status, intention, pace and introduction. These answers and the policy version and consent time are stored for administrator review, not shown to members or used to score your attractiveness. Applications are not automatically approved. Review decisions and their time are recorded. There is no guaranteed review time or email/SMS notification; check the invitation page.
A pending request can be edited or deleted from the invitation page. Reviewed applications remain with the account until account deletion. The administrator can decline or revoke admission; revocation stops member access and ends existing connections. An approval is not identity, age, relationship-status or background verification.
What is public—and what isn’t
Other members can see your chosen profile name, age, selected city, region and country, relationship status, interests, intention, conversation languages, biography, preferences and uploaded profile photo. Your account email, journal and personal milestones are not displayed to other members. Upload only a real photo of yourself that you have the right to use and are comfortable sharing. AI-generated profile faces and impersonation are prohibited. Each new upload requires your confirmation. This is a member attestation, not proof of authenticity: automatic AI-image detection and identity verification are not integrated. Report suspected fake photos for human review. New photos are resized in the browser and embedded non-pixel metadata is stripped server-side before storage. Existing photos are stripped when served; this does not retrospectively erase original stored files until replacement or deletion. Removing a photo cannot erase someone else’s saved copy.
Messages are shared with the other member in a mutual connection. Messages and journals are not end-to-end encrypted. The site operator manages stored data, including profiles, messages, journals and reports. Don’t use this beta to store highly sensitive or confidential information.
How suggestions work
Suggestions use mutual age, gender and selected-location preferences, the same intention and a shared conversation language. Shared interests and pace influence their order. We do not analyse faces or score photographs. Your selected city is not GPS verified; no precise distance or movement tracking is used. Read the complete matching explanation.
You choose your boundaries
A conversation opens only after mutual interest. You can unmatch, block and report from a member profile or conversation. Blocking ends that connection and prevents messaging. Unblocking does not restore a previous match.
In Your space, you can pause discovery to hide your profile from new discovery while keeping existing connections. You can also delete your member profile, invitation application and associated member data. Moderation reports may remain for review; deleting a profile does not promise deletion of every moderation record.
Real people. Clear demo labels.
Member profiles are submitted by approved signed-in users. Age, relationship status and identity are self-declared. Government-ID verification, email/SMS sign-in and professional 24/7 moderation are not integrated.
The public demo contains fictional people represented by initials and scripted example conversations. Demo interactions are not sent to real members. Full-demo data is stored in your browser and can be cleared with Reset demo data in the demo’s settings. Public homepage activities do not create an account or save member milestones.
Shared activities and contact privacy
Only approved mutual connections can invite each other into a shared mystery or two-answer conversation. The invited person can accept or decline. Clues appear to the other person only when shared; question answers reveal after both submit. Activity progress and answers are stored with the connection. Either person can leave. Blocking, unmatching or deleting an account closes or removes shared activities. They are not end-to-end encrypted.
No phone-number field is stored on your member profile. Basic pattern checks prevent recognisable phone numbers in new profile text, messages and shared answers. Disguised numbers, images, copied text and screenshots cannot be perfectly prevented. Contact exchange is locked in beta; any future paid exchange should require mutual consent. Paid plans and payments are not enabled.
Reporting and support limits
New messages and shared answers pass through basic server-side pattern checks before delivery. Defined threats, sexual harassment and abusive phrases are withheld when detected, and a limited number of flagged attempts are recorded with the text and account identifiers in the administrator review queue. This is not AI moderation: context, other languages and disguised abuse may be missed; innocent text may be flagged. A flag is not proof of misconduct and does not automatically suspend an account. Human review is required. Flag records and attached message or activity evidence may remain after account deletion for review.
Use Report this message or Report this answer to attach the actual received content for review. Use Report to submit a concern for administrator review and Block to stop contact immediately. Reports require human attention; there is no guaranteed review time and no professional 24/7 monitoring.
Breathing, sound and journalling are optional activities for general relaxation and reflection. Second Moon is not therapy, medical care or a crisis service. If you face immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or someone you trust.
Founder care, circles and shared chapters
Varun personally handles admission and moderation. Use Help & appeals for an account-bound request, including if admission is declined or your profile is suspended. Your request and the founder’s reply are stored privately to your account and the administrator. Review hours are daily, 8–10 PM India Standard Time (IST, UTC+05:30). Requests can be submitted anytime. There are no email/SMS alerts or guaranteed response times. This is not 24/7 monitoring.
Circle contributions are held privately for founder review before appearing to approved members. The founder can decline or remove them. Blocking hides contributions both ways; pausing a profile hides its posts from others. Your name and approved contribution are visible to other members. Do not post contact details, private facts about other people or sensitive information. You can withdraw your own contribution.
Pace and plan invitations require an explicit acceptance from the other mutual connection. Either person may withdraw. Plans store the proposed time and public venue; they are not bookings, reminders, safety monitoring or consent to intimacy. Story choices reveal only after both choose. Private keepsakes are account-specific bookmarks within an accessible connection, not permanent exports. Blocking, unmatching and revocation remove access and cancel open chapters. Reconnecting can make past completed chapters visible again. Account deletion removes shared chapters, your circle posts and support tickets. Moderation evidence and decision notes may remain for review; a retention schedule is still pending.
Relationship learning
The Relationship Studio contains original educational examples, not therapy, diagnosis or a qualification. Professional content review is pending. Member completion choices are stored privately and removed with account deletion; they do not influence matching. Public preview completion stays on your device. Reflection answers are not collected. External resources are independent and do not endorse this app.
Location catalogue
Country, territory and city options come from the countrycitystatejson dataset. Lists may contain omissions or older place names; use a nearby listed city if needed. No external geocoding service receives your selection. Dataset attribution and licence.
Your account and device
Sign-in uses your ChatGPT account. Second Moon does not ask for or store your ChatGPT password. The current app works in a browser, with home-screen installation on supported devices; it is not a separate native app.
Browser storage supports demo activity and saved conversation cards. The service worker caches static images and icons, not private API responses. Use care on a shared device and sign out when finished.
