A suggestion is not a match. Second Moon first checks mutual preferences, then highlights common ground. A connection only forms when both people express interest.
1. Your boundaries come first
Both people must be approved members with complete profiles. Paused, suspended or blocked profiles are excluded. Each person must fit the other’s gender and age preferences.
Your relationship intention must be the same, and you must share at least one selected conversation language. Both location preferences must allow the other person: My city, My country or Worldwide. Selecting Worldwide does not override the other person’s local preference.
2. Common ground shapes the suggestions
Within those boundaries, more shared interests rank first, followed by additional shared languages, a similar conversation pace and the same selected city. Each card explains why it appeared. Photos, photo attractiveness, divorce history and private application answers are not ranking inputs.
This is a straightforward rules-based system—not a psychological assessment or a claim that two people are compatible. There is no invented compatibility percentage. The current discovery window considers up to 500 recent eligible-location profiles and displays up to 200 ranked suggestions.
3. You both decide
Read the profile and tap the heart to express interest. That alone does not open chat. When the other person independently expresses interest too, the pair appears in Connections and text chat becomes available.
Approval into the community is not approval to contact everybody. No administrator or AI makes a mutual connection on your behalf. Changing discovery preferences does not erase existing chats; unmatch or block to end contact.
For example
Two approved adults both choose companionship, include each other’s ages in their preferred ranges, share a language and accept each other’s selected locations. Shared books and travel interests can place them higher in each other’s suggestions. They are still not a match until both send interest.
Location is a choice, not a tracking signal
Choose your country first, then a listed city. These are self-selected locations, not GPS-verified positions. We do not calculate exact distances, show home addresses or track movement in this release.
If nobody fits today
We show an honest empty state. You can adjust your preferences, return later or enjoy the activities on your own. We never insert fictional demo profiles, bots or fabricated likes into real member discovery.
